3M installed an SWRO desalination plant at the Verudela hotel complex.

The plant produces 400,000 liters of technical water per day for the needs of the resort.

Background

Due to successful operation and the benefits it brings both economically and in terms of guest comfort, Arena Hospitality group has decided to install a desalination plant with a capacity of 400 m³/day at their Verudela resort.

Challenges

The seawater contains chlorides that exceed the maximum allowable values prescribed by the Drinking Water Quality Regulations. To use the water for irrigation purposes within the resort, a desalinator is needed to process seawater through desalination to produce technical water.

Solutions

3M provides a compact containerized 3M SW desalination plant using reverse osmosis, capable of producing 400,000 liters of technical water per day.

Results

The plant produces 400,000 liters of technical water per day for the needs of the resort.
